UPDATE-Customs make seizure of ammunition shipped in barrel at Woodbridge Bay Port

On the heels of a major seizure of guns and ammunition by the Customs and the police at the Woodbridge Bay Port in Dominica, another seizure has been made.

Nature Isle News (NIN) can confirm that Customs on Monday, February 7, 2022, discovered a quantity of ammunition in a barrel that someone came to clear.

We can confirm that the ammunition seized was 150 rounds of 9 mm and someone from Bellevue is assisting the police and customs in their investigations into this matter.

This latest seizure comes less than one week since Customs unearth 15 firearms along with a quantity of ammunition in a barrel. The police have confirmed that although they have not yet formally charged someone for the shipment and importation of firearms and ammunition into Dominica with the holder of a firearms and ammunitions license, one man is in custody assisting them in their investigations.

NIN will stay on top of this story and bring you further details as and when it becomes available.
