The West Coast Credit Union Board of Directors has expressed sympathy to the family and friends of the late credit union stalwart Clement Carty.
In a release, the West Coast Credit Union states, “The very name of this giant of the movement…Clement Carty is synonymous with Credit Unionism in Dominica. He lived for the cause and by his exceptional service, he helped the campaign to achieve the deep penetration that it has and be the household staple it is today.”
“We still recall his passionate speeches at countless Annual General Meetings as he expounded, argued, and championed cooperative and credit union principles and values…. this same passion he took to the regional arena, helping to develop the movement in the Caribbean also. As we say farewell to him, we sympathize with his family and relatives and express gratitude for the bright light that he shone in our way. Rest well, brother!
