A total of ten goals were scored on the opening night of the 2022 Dominica Football Association’s President Cup.
The second competition of the season which kicked off at the Stockfarm Sports Complex on Wednesday evening saw St. Joseph FC and Belfast Estate Mahaut Soca Strikers FC post handsome wins.
In the first encounter of the doubleheader, which was contested In Gropu E, Derby Boys FC proved very little competition for St. Joseph FC as they suffered six goals to nil defeat. The winners dominated the match from start to finish as Aaron Nicholas converted two goals. Lynson Luke, Delvin Guiste, Ernest Casey, and Shervon Elizee converted one goal each.
In the evening’s second encounter, Mahaut Soca Strikers FC defeated Exodus FC by four goals to nil. Addison Denis, Mahiel John, and Kareem Toussaint converted one goal each. The other goal came via the own goal route. This encounter was contested in Group B.
Sagocir South East FC won the first cup of the season which was dubbed the Patrick John Cup.
