Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles
Valid from 6:00 AM on Friday, January 6, 2023
A high-pressure system is expected to influence conditions during the next 24 hours. Patches of low-level clouds within a moderate trade wind flow are expected to support some scattered showers mainly over the northern and southern portions of the Lesser Antilles. Residents should continue to secure loose objects, which can become missiles in high winds. A trough is likely to increase the chance of showers in the area on Saturday.
Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 48 hours, with waves peaking at 8.0ft along the eastern coastline. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect. Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise extreme caution.
