The Dominica Christian Council (DCC) in its Annual General Meeting held on Monday
November 20, 2023, elected a new Executive for 2023-2024.
Rev’d Dr. Keith B. Lewis, Superintendent Minister of the Dominica Methodist Circuit has been named to serve as President.
Rev’d Dr. Lewis is a national of the Commonwealth of Dominica and hails from the Wesley
Community. He is an ordained minister of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the
Americas and has served across the Leeward Islands District for over 30 years. He took up his appointment as Superintendent in the Dominica Methodist Circuit on September 1, 2023.
The Presidency of the DCC is rotated annually among the heads of the Member Churches.
Elected to serve with him on the DCC Executive are Father Nigel Karam, Dean of Roseau Cathedral, as Vice President. Mrs. Romualda Hyacinth, Circuit Steward of the Dominica Methodist Circuit was re-elected as Secretary/Treasurer.
Some of the objectives of the Council are the promotion of a greater understanding and unity among Christians at all levels to assist the participating churches to bear a more united Christian witness in the Community of Dominica and to study the problems and opportunities within the island and the Caribbean Region which challenge the Christian way of life and to take action accordingly.
We welcome the New Executive and pray for God’s guidance as together, they lead the
Dominica Christian Council in carrying out its mandate.
