Brian Linton the brother of former Opposition Leader Lennox Linton has been arrested by police. No information has yet been given by the police but the information is that he is being questioned on alleged “threats and incitement comments.”
Linton went to the Marigot police station to sign as part of his $75,000.00 bail condition on a charge of “incitement” he was arrested and charged for on February 24, 2022.
The Marigot police advised him that they were instructed to “detain him for an investigation for alleged plots to set fire in Roseau at a planned February 25, 2024 meeting of the United Workers Party (UWP).
In the February 24, 2022 charge, the police are alleging that on October 13, 2020, Brian Linton on the Q95 FM Radio Show “Talk on the Block” hosted by Matt Peltier made certain comments…
“Matt, what the other police officers need to seriously consider at this time, Matt is to be making a coup, Matt. And I said that with no reservation.
The other Police Officers need to take a decision to arrest this situation that is developing in Dominica. Because they are aware of how the police Force is being politicized and weaponized Matt against the people of Dominica.
And we know that the majority of them are not for that. So, the majority of Police Officers need to organize themselves Matt and remove the current leadership, the current stogy of the Police Force Matt.
Remove them from office Matt forcibly. Take over the Force. Bring order to the Force. So, we know Matt, the reality of the Police Force, the nature of the Police Force, the gang, the Skerrit gang that we are dealing with.
So, it is the duty now of the Police Officers who decide to stay their Matt, to act physically, forcefully Matt to remove those gangsters from the leadership of the day.

The police had issued a statement stating that they had credible intelligence that certain persons were going to use the February 25, 2024 meeting to cause “mayhem and destruction in Roseau by setting buildings on fire.”
During the said meeting a strong police presence was evident and the police warned that any attempts to cause problems during the meeting would be met with strong force from the police.
After questioning Brian Linton for over five hours and executing a search warrant at his home in Marigot, where nothing illegal was found, he was released with no charges.
Hmmm! Sounds like incitement to me.
This guy is a loud-mouthed unhinged rabble-rouser, and we all know this. One would swear that he has a loose screw.
Just don’t understand why Brian has not yet seen that his strategy of playing a victim of the government and the police doesn’t work. It achieves nothing.
