The Dominica Council on Ageing (DCOA) is pleased to announce its Annual General Meeting
(AGM) to be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the St.Alphonsus Parish Hall in Goodwill. The meeting will commence at 9:30 AM and is open to all members of the Council.
The AGM will provide an opportunity for the Council to review its achievements and challenges over the past year, and to outline its plans and priorities for the coming year.
The meeting will feature a special motivational speech by the council’s Patron Leroy Wadico Charles, in the presence of special guests Dr.Cassandra Williams, Minister for Social Services, and Mirium Blanchard, Parliamentary Representative for Roseau North.
“The Dominica Council on Ageing is committed to improving the quality of life for Older adults in Dominica,” said Mr.Nigel Lawrence current President, who emphasized that the theme for the AGM is “In Pursuit of Healthy Ageing and Care for Older Persons.”
He also noted that “Our Annual General Meeting is an important event that allows us to engage with our members and the wider community, and to share our vision for the future.” All DCOA members are encouraged to attend the meeting.
The Dominica Council on Ageing is a non-profit organization that promotes the rights
and well-being of older adults in Dominica.
