Ministry of Education to host Pearl assistant devices

The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce the official handing over of assistive devices to students under the Special Education Needs (SEN) program as part of the OECS PEARL initiative.

The ceremony will occur on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Alliance Française, Roseau. This event marks a significant milestone in ensuring inclusive education and equal opportunities for all students. The OECS PEARL (Program for Educational Advancement and Readiness for Learning) is designed to provide crucial resources that will enhance the learning experiences of students with special education needs.

These assistive devices will serve as valuable tools to empower SEN students, enabling them to actively engage in the educational process and overcome learning challenges.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to fostering a more accessible and equitable education system for all, particularly through technological support for students with disabilities. The provision of these devices represents a crucial step forward in supporting student development and ensuring no child is left behind.
