Ellington Sabin the head coach of the Dominica Senior Men’s National Football team says his guys are energized for the task ahead as they prepare for their leg of the Concacaf Nations League in the Dominican Republic from November 12, 2024.
The team is now back in full training and Coach Sabin said that the session was okay and it was to “get ready for the next encounter.”
“Today’s training the first since we return from Bermuda was merely a conditioning session to get the guys back to a sharp state for the next window that is almost on us,” Sabin said after the teams training at the Stock Farm Complex.
“It means that we have to do what we have to do to get ready and prepared for that window…the energy from the guys is always present and I am happy for that seeing that they are putting in the work that is required.”
He continued, “They have the talent and energy all that is required is for them to put in the necessary work. I want them to remain focused, we know what is at hand and what we have to do and have to ensure we get points in the Dominican Republic since we came out without points in Bermuda.” He also warned about being complacent saying “We seem to think that we are safe, but we have to ensure that we do the necessary. It’s difficult for us to be relegated and that said we must ensure we do what we have to do and not sit idly by and leave things to chance. Play our game to the best of our ability, get points in this next window and we will be good,” he said.
Dominica will play two matches in the Dominican Republic. They face the host country and Antigua.
