Officials in the Ministry of Education are at a “crossroads” as they attempt to deal with a matter at the Portsmouth Secondary School.
Yesterday, teachers at that educational institution staged a “sit-in” in protest of the presence of the school principal at work.
Reports from a Nature Isle News (NIN) investigation reveal that the individual in question, who should not have been at the school, showed up without the knowledge and consent of the Ministry of Education, hence the “sit-in” by the teachers as he refused to leave despite repeatedly being asked to do so.
At present, the matter is with the Public Service Commission, which has been asked to expeditiously deal with the matter so that the affairs of the school can return to normalcy.
