
The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force has appointed its first female Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in the person of Antonia Moses in an acting capacity.
Moses has been a police officer for the past 30 years, and is among 25 police officers who received their appointments earlier this week.
Speaking on the matter, acting Deputy Chief of Police Jeffery James disclosed that out of the 25 appointments made, 21 of them are in an acting capacity, while four of them are “confirmed.”
“Antonia Moses (Acting ACP), Chauser James (Acting Superintendent), Inspector Delvin Jno Lewis (Acting Assistant Superintendent), Inspector Lindon Timothy (Acting Assistant Superintendent),” he said.
He also disclosed that eight inspectors were given acting positions, 13 sergeants in acting positions, with two confirmations to the rank of corporal of police, and 13 acting corporals.
