A radio series highlighting culture, creativity, and the creative economy

Roseau, Dominica – August 27, 2025 – Creole HeartBeat is proud to announce the continuation of its dynamic radio series, “WCMF @ 25: From Idea to World-Class Festival”, airing Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM on DBS Radio and streaming live online. This special edition features a timely and insightful conversation with two young economists from the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB)—Ms. Rhesa Findley and Ms. Stephanie Pascal—moderated by Ambassador Leroy “Wadix” Charles.

This episode focuses on “The Creative Economy and ECCB’s Role in Fostering Resilience and Growth.” The discussion comes in the heart of CARIFESTA XV, where significant emphasis is being placed on the power and potential of the creative industries to drive economic development across the region.

“As the World Creole Music Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary, we are bridging generations through culture, creativity, and commerce,” stated Ambassador Charles. “CARIFESTA reinforced that our creative industries are far more than entertainment—they are powerful drivers of economic growth. This series is dedicated to showcasing those opportunities and honoring the pioneers, policymakers, and professionals who are shaping the future of the creative economy.”

The radio series builds on Creole HeartBeat’s commitment to elevating culture and amplifying Creole, connecting Dominica’s signature festival to the broader conversations about innovation, financial resilience, and cultural exportation.
