
A 21-year-old of Dominican parentage was shot and killed in New York. Police identified the victim as Dashanna Donovan.
According to police, they responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress and made a shocking discovery in Queens. It happened on Friday at around 9:20 p.m.
Police responding to a building at 96th Street between Astoria Boulevard and 30th Avenue found a 21-year-old woman dead. She had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dashanna Donovan was found with a fatal bullet wound to the head.
Several shell casings were scattered across the floor of Donovan’s apartment, and the walls were riddled with bullet holes, police sources said.
So far, there have been no arrests. She was born in the United States Virgin Island of St. Thomas before migrating to Brooklyn, New York, where she graduated from the High School of Public Service.
