The Criminal Investigating Department (CID) of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is said to be actively investigating an allegation of a case of Child sexual molestation by a senior member of a Christian Church on the island.
According to reports, the male individual is alleged to have, over a period of time, sexually molested the female child.
The matter came to light during a school activity when the teacher asked the students to indicate “yes or no” if they were “touched inappropriately by any individual.”
The child was the only one to tick “yes,” resulting in her being questioned by school authorities, and the revelation came to the fore.
Reports also indicate that there may be attempts by certain individuals “not to pursue the matter” and are not fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities.
