Roseau, Dominica – A delegation of 15 young swimmers from Dominica, accompanied by their parents and one coach, will represent the Emerald Aquatics Swim Club at the Hype Aquatics Swim Club Summer Camp, taking place in Saint Lucia from August 3 to August 15, 2026.
The trip brings together families and athletes in support of the children’s development and reflects the parents’ commitment to providing their children with opportunities for growth through sport. The two-week camp offers Emerald Aquatics athletes the opportunity to train alongside competitive swimmers in a world-class aquatic environment, refining their technique, building endurance, and gaining valuable international training experience under the guidance of experienced coaching staff.
“This camp represents an incredible opportunity for our swimmers to grow both athletically and personally,” says Mrs. Bernetta Seaman, team leader, who will lead the Emerald Aquatics contingent throughout the program. “Two coaches from the Hype Aquatics Swim Club in Saint Lucia are here to get our Emerald swimmers up to par, pushing them to elevate their performance and broadening their perspective on the sport.” Mrs. Seaman said.
Throughout their time in Saint Lucia, the Emerald Aquatics swimmers will participate in daily training sessions, skill-building workshops, and team-building activities designed to strengthen both individual performance and team camaraderie. Emerald Aquatics Swim Club is committed to developing competitive swimmers in Dominica through excellence in coaching, training, and sportsmanship. The club was formed in January 2026 and comprises young athletes ranging from the ages of 6–16.
The visit to Saint Lucia by these young athletes is an initiative of a dedicated group of parents and guardians determined to see their children succeed. Through their vision, commitment, and collective efforts, this opportunity has become a reality, allowing the swimmers to benefit from international coaching, high-level training, and experiences that will contribute to their athletic and personal development. Emerald Aquatics Swim Club extends its gratitude to the families, sponsors, and supporters whose encouragement made this opportunity possible and looks forward to sharing updates from camp as the swimmers train abroad.
