Police are conducting investigations into a major traffic accident that occurred in Kings Hill in an area called “Nine Houses” on the evening of April 4, 2021.
According to reports, a bus carrying eleven (11) passengers inclusive of the driver lost control and plunged from Nine Houses into Charlotte Valley in Newtown.
The Fire & Ambulance was called and all 11 passengers on the bus were taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) for medical attention. There are no reports of death.
Nature Isle News (NIN) is following that story with a view to bring you more details and the extent of the injuries sustained by the passengers on the bus.
Speaking to journalist Matt Peltier in an exclusive interview obtained by NIN, one eyewitness explained that he was in the Nine Houses area in Kings Hill speaking with a friend when the driver of the bus who dropped someone plunged down the precipice.
“He was turning and he just went down, I had to help a young lady first and told the driver to go up then I heard screams and pulled up a boy. I then asked the driver, where he had pains he said his foot and we pulled him up, we did so in holding branches,” the eyewitness stated.
“I held branches together with another friend of mine, then got a rope to get people out, the first person was a girl and from what I saw they sustained minor injuries, I thought we would have had deaths but praise God none,” the eyewitness named Trevor told Matt Peltier.
