The cultural community in Dominica is mourning the death of Ashworth “Brown” Simon from the community of Mahaut.
Simon, known for his artistic performances in the theatre realm is said to have passed away on June 26, 2024. He was also known as “Bandilegs and Bouden” in his artistic plays.
Recently he was recognized by the Cultural Division in Dominica for his role as a cultural icon and work in the field of arts and culture.
His death has been described as “a loss for theatre and culture in Dominica.”
