Convincing win for Premiere Division clubs 

Defending Premier Division Champions Sagicor South East FC found the going very easy last weekend as the action continued in the 2022 Dominica Football Association President’s Cup. In their latest encounter on Saturday at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth, the Patrick John Cup champions mauled BAA Sharks FC by 11 goals to nil. 

Captain and former national player, Joslen Prince, who has not featured much this season, found the back of the net four times. Javid George maintained his good form as he scored three goals. Kenny Jno Baptiste, Troy Lewis, and D’Shaun James scored one goal each. The other goal came via the own goal route. 

In Saturday’s other encounter, Promex Harlem United got the better of LA Enterprises Bombers FC by five goals to nil at the Stockfarm Sports Complex. Audel Laville scored twice while there was one goal each for Dillon Augustine, Dervine Emanuel, and Shermiah Andrew. 

On Sunday, Petro Caribe Pointe Michel recorded an emphatic nine goals to nil win over Trafalgar FC at the Stockfarm Sports Complex. Bert Casimir scored a hat trick. Three players, Marcus Bredas, Shamia Dangleben, and Justin Casimir scored two goals each. 

In the second match of the doubleheader, Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC edged out Blue Waters Bath Estate FC by two goals to nil in a keenly contested affair. McCorney Royer scored both goals for the former Premiere Division champions. Kenico Soanes scored the lone goal for Bath Estate FC. 

Meanwhile, Wayne George Academy got off to a good start in the Central Cooperative Credit Union Big Edge Financial, Dominica Olympic Committee, and the Dominica Football Association Under 15 Football League. 

In the lone match on Saturday, Jervon Degallerie and Adony Dejardin scored one goal each in the two goals to one win over Central, a Grand Bay-based team. D’Andre Peltier scored the lone for Central. 

Three teams advance to the next round of Dominoes

Three teams have booked a spot in the next round of the 2022 Element Agencies and Guinness Knock Out Domino Competition.  

In the opening round of matches last weekend,  Rebels, Unique Rockers, and Palm Boys all secured victories.  

Rebels, who hail from the community of Fond Cole made light work of Peace and Love at the Twilight Bar at Woodbridge Bay. Rebels totaled 3023 while Peace and Love could only muster 1854 points.  

In the other encounter, Rockers from Paix Bouche failed to advance as they were defeated by Palm Boys of Roseau in a nail-biting encounter. Palm Boys reached 3022 points while Rockers scored 2866 points.  Unique Rockers won over Hit Back by 596 points. Unique Rockers scored 3019 points with Hit Back scoring 2423
