Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Favourable mid to upper-level conditions maintained by a trough system and available moisture are expected to generate periods of cloudiness with scattered showers and possible thunderstorms, particularly across the southern portion of the Lesser Antilles, during the next 24 to 48 hours.
Meanwhile, an area of low pressure in the Central Tropical Atlantic, which is being monitored for development, is unlikely to approach the island chain at this time.
Slight to moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 to 48 hours with waves peaking at 5.0ft along the eastern coast.
