Six and a half years after taking over as Managing Director of the National Bank of Dominica Ltd (NBD) Ellingworth Edwards is no longer with that financial institution effective January 6, 2021.
Edwards assumed overall responsibility for the Group on July 1, 2014. He is qualified in Finance, Accounting and Management.
His career spans over 15 years in banking and senior management positions. He is a former employee of NBD, who served in the capacity of Deputy General Manager and acted as Managing Director during his tenure with the Bank. Edwards rejoins NBD from the Fine Foods Inc. and Auto Trade group where he held the position of Senior General Manager.
Speaking to Nature Isle News (NIN) in an exclusive interview, chairperson of the Board of Directors Urania Williams praised Edwards for his work with the bank over the past years.
“He worked well with the bank, but he has moved on effective January 6, 2021, and we wish him well in all his future endeavors,” Williams said.
She confirmed that the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Linda Toussaint Peters has taken over the post of acting Managing Director until further notice.
