Public Enemies crowned domino kings

Public Enemies have earned bragging rights as the best domino team on the island. The team secured their bragging rights when they walked away as champions of the 2021 Rayneau Construction and Kubuli Beer National Domino League.

In the much-talked-about championship encounter on Sunday at Mahaut, Public Enemies dethroned the defending champions Wake Up Stars from Portsmouth by 382 points.

Delvin Esprit and Jeff Defoe combined to score 1,518 points as Public Enemies won by a final score of 4,006 points to 3,624 points. Giving good support were Hezron Ambrose and Gifford Jno Lewis with 1,007 points. The duo of Ian Roberts and Lisa Boston aided the total with 807 points.

For the defending champions, Wayne and Roy were the leading scorers with 790 points.

For their exploits, the newly crowned champions walked away with a cash prize of EC$4000, five cases of Kubuli Beer, and a trophy. The runners up received EC$2000, three cases of Kubuli Beer, and a trophy.

Rockers finished in third place and received EC$500, one case of Kubuli Beer, and a trophy. Hub Itassi was adjudged as the most disciplined team. They collected a trophy.

League organizer, Delvin Esprit thanked the sponsors for the valuable contribution. He stated that their sponsorship ensured the huge success of the league.
