At its final press conference, the Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) highlighted key event information and announced additional sponsors for the 11th edition of Jazz ‘n Creole on Sunday, May 1st at Fort Shirley, Cabrits
National Park.
Added to the fringe events calendar is the Basketball Classic on April 29, 2022, at Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth organized by the Sports In Nature Foundation. Spokesperson and Organizer, Jerry Williams spoke about how he envisioned the event as a strategic sports tourism initiative in hosting regional teams to enjoy the sport of basketball in the Nature Island.
The Discover Dominica Authority through the Dominica Festivals Committee also highlighted key event information for persons attending the event or wishing to attend the event which includes:
• The availability of a shuttle service from 12noon at pickup points Borough Square, Tan Tan, and Purple Turtle Beach.
• VIP Parking will be allowed to park in the designated area from the Moroccan Hotel to DASPA Entry Gate.
• Smoking is not allowed at the Cabrits National Park.
• Glass bottles are not allowed at the Cabrits National Park.
• Coolers are allowed but at a small fee based on the size.

• Unvaccinated persons must have a negative Antigen test taken 24 hours in advance from any approved medical facility along with proof of identification. Vaccinated persons require their vaccination card and proof of identification.
Several sponsors were also present, and they verbally reiterated their support for this year’s Jazz ‘n Creole Festival, as well as their partnership with Discover Dominica Authority to guarantee a successful event. The new sponsors that were added to the existing listing are the Sign Man Limited (Business Category) and Archipelago, the authorized agent for the Beacon Insurance Limited (Special Mention Category) and the Insurance Company of the West Indies (Special Mention Category).
Jazz ‘n Creole Tickets are still available online via https://shop.access767.com/dfc. Ticket prices are VIP EC$250.00, Grounds Experience EC$150.00, Children 12 -18 years EC$75.00, and Children under 12 years old FREE. The special on the Grounds tickets at EC$120 were extended and will be available at select fringe events.
The organizers of Jazz ‘n Creole, the Discover Dominica Authority through the Dominica Festivals Committee promised more surprises and a stellar experience for all at Jazz ‘n Creole 2022.
