Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles
Valid from: 6:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2022
Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave are expected to produce an increase in cloudiness with brief showers over the island, as the morning progresses. Most of the shower activity associated with this wave should remain to the south of the region. Breezy conditions will be maintained.
Additionally, an increase in dust haze is expected across the area today. People with respiratory sensitivities should take precautions to avoid complications.
Slight to moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours, with wave heights peaking near 7.0ft in eastern coastal waters. Small-craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution.
