Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

An approaching tropical wave will begin to affect parts of the Lesser Antilles today. An increase in cloudiness and shower activity is expected, particularly over the southern portion of the island chain into Saturday. Thereafter from overnight Saturday and into Monday, a stronger tropical wave is projected to affect the region, with showers and thunderstorms expected over most of the islands.
A slight dust haze will be evident in some areas over the next 48 hours. People with respiratory sensitivities are advised to take precautions to avoid complications.
Slight to moderate seas are anticipated during the next 48 hours, with waves peaking near 7.0ft in eastern coastal waters.
