One more club has booked its spot in the semifinal stage of the 2022 Dominica Football Association (DFA) Patrick John Cup.

On Thursday evening at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth, defending premiere champions, Sagicor South East FC joined Valvoline WE United FC in the last four. National player Javed George was in prolific form as he registered a first-half hat trick as his club easily won over Connect 767 East Central FC by four goals to one.

George converted goals in the 7th, 17th, and 23rd minutes of play. The fourth goal was scored by Ervince Lockhart in the 87th minute of play. For East Central FC, Reon Cuffy scored in the 14th minute of play to level the scores. Romario Burgins converted the other goal when he scored in the 84th minute of play. For his exploits, Javed George was named the player of the game.

The two other semifinal matches will feature Petro Caribe Pointe Michel FC and Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC. These two clubs will take to the field for the third time this evening from 6 pm at the Stockfarm Sports Complex. The two previous outings were both aborted at the end of the first half due to unsatisfactory playing conditions caused by heavy rainfall. Promex Harlem will take on Mahaut Soca Strikers FC in the other semi-final at Benjamin Park in Portsmouth from 6 pm.
