Bath Estate maintains early lead in DFA Premier Football league

Despite not securing full points in their latest encounter last week, Blue Waters Bath Estate FC maintained their top-of-the-table position when the action continued in the 2023 Dominica Football Association Premier (DFA) Division League. 

On Friday at the Almond Park in Dublanc, Petro Caribe Pointe Michel held Bath Estate FC to a one all draw. Montel James scored for Bath Estate FC to give his club a one goal to nil advantage. Justin Casimir equalized for Pointe Michel FC just before the interval. The second half saw no further goals. 

In other matches played over the weekend, two times defending champions Sagicor South East FC defeated Promex Harlem by one goal to nil. Joslen Prince scored the lone goal of the encounter in the closing stages of the first half. Also on Sunday, Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC defeated Bombers FC by one goal to nil. The lone goal of the encounter was scored by McConney Royer. 

On Saturday, Valvoline WE United FC put an end to their four game losing streak, as they came from behind to defeat Tranquility Resorts Middleham United FC by three goals to two. 

LA Stars FC secured a huge win with a two goals to nil win over Connect 767 East Central FC in another encounter. 

After the latest round of matches, Blue Waters Bath Estate FC leads the table with 14 points from 6 matches. Dublanc FC and South East FC are both on 13 points from six matches played. Harlem United occupies the fourth position with 12 points from their seven matches played. Middleham United FC is on 11 points from seven matches while East Central FC is on eight points from seven matches played. WE United FC has seven points from seven matches to sit in seventh position. LA Stars FC is on five points from six matches while Bombers FC is on five points from seven matches to be in ninth position. The cellar position is occupied by Pointe Michel FC with four points from seven matches played.
