Possie Culcha Pan announces rebranding

PORTSMOUTH– Today, Possie Culcha Pan, a leading community-focused steelpan group in Portsmouth, is thrilled to announce its rebranding and the formation of a new executive team. This strategic move aligns with the group’s mission to rekindle and safeguard the tradition of steelpan music within the community.

The newly appointed executive team comprises Director Imelda Aaron, Assistant Director Addison Aaron, Treasurer Bernita Bethel, Public Relations Officer Monelle Alexis, Secretary Novie Isaac, Director of Registration Samantha Pierre-Louis, Director of Sponsorship Heather Baron, Director of Recruitment and Events Judy Larocque, and Committee Members Roy Larocque and Ashton Riviere.  Each member brings a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to the steel pan tradition, ensuring the continued growth and success of Possie Culcha Pan. Their collective goal is to create an inclusive platform that encourages learning, offers performance opportunities, and fosters a deeper appreciation for this unique art form.

The rebranded Possi Culcha Pan plans to host education programs and performances to engage the community in enriching musical experiences. These events will provide an opportunity for community members to learn about the history and culture of steelpan music and experience the joy of playing the instrument.
Possie Culcha Pan targets men and women aged eight (8) and above living in the Portsmouth community. The group is excited to invite interested individuals to become members and be part of this vibrant musical journey.
