Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Valid from: 6:00 AM on Thursday, July 18, 2024

Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave are expected to result in increased cloudiness with scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms today. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks are advised to be on alert and to exercise caution.

A significant increase in dust haze concentration can be expected from Saturday into Sunday resulting in a reduction in air quality. People with respiratory sensitivities are advised to take the necessary precautions to avoid complications. Fisherfolks are advised to use the necessary devices for safe navigation due to reduced visibility when venturing out to sea.

Slight to moderate seas can be expected in open water with waves peaking near 7ft during the period.
