Police have been called in to investigate an overnight burglary that took place at the National Credit Union (NCCU) Pointe Michel branch last night.
Nature Isle News (NIN) was on the scene when the police from Grand Bay (acting Inspector Laville who is in charge of the Grand Bay station and acting Assistant Superintendent Valda Powell who heads the Southern division) arrived to conduct investigations into the matter.
Suspicion of the burglary occurred when neighbors saw the front door of the building opened and alerted a staff from the community who on arrival saw the door destroyed and realized that a burglary had taken place. The Pointe Michel police were called immediately. Â
NIN was told that the burglar (s) was not able to get past the second door which would have gained them access into the building.
Management of NCCU has been called in to further assist the police in the matter.
