
ROSEAU, DOMINICA-Dominica opened a new chapter in regional connectivity on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, when Contour Airlines launched its first nonstop flight from Cyril E. King Airport (STT) in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, to Douglas–Charles Airport (DOM). The historic arrival was greeted with a water cannon salute and an official welcome ceremony at the VIP Lounge of Douglas–Charles Airport.

Contour Airlines will also launch round-trip nonstop service between Douglas–Charles Airport (DOM) and Luis Muñoz MarĂn International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, beginning Thursday, September 25, 2025. Both routes will be operated using the airline’s 30-seat regional jets, offering passengers enhanced comfort, in-flight service, and reliable connections to the wider Caribbean and beyond.




Among those in attendance to witness this historic moment were Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, acting Tourism Minister Chekeria Lockhart-Hypolite, and Members of the Board of the Dominica Air & Seaport Authority (DASPA) and top officials of Contour Airlines.
Prime Minister Skerrit praised the airline’s decision to begin services to Dominica and called on persons to take full advantage of this service.
