Police in Dominica say that they are investigating an apparent fatal road traffic incident involving 34-year-old Rennix Francis of Belles.
According to Police Public Relations (PRO) acting ASP Fixton Henderson, “At approximately 7:45 am on Saturday, the 11th day of July 2026, police received a report of an unresponsive male individual seen below a bridge in the Concord Valley area.”
“Officers responded and discovered the unresponsive body of Rennix Francis in water, below the bridge, with apparent injuries. His motorcycle was near his body.”
“Preliminary investigation indicates that Francis was traveling from the Kalinago Territory to Belles during the early hours of Saturday morning before his lifeless body was discovered. Francis was transported to the Marigot Hospital, where he was pronounced dead and his body was subsequently transferred to a funeral home pending an autopsy. Sincere condolences are extended to the family and friends of the deceased. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding that fatal incident is ongoing.
