Semi-final action bowls off this weekend

Defending champions Go Sports Tremors is one of four teams looking to book a spot in the finals of the 2020 Dominica Cricket Association Augustus Gregoire Premier Division League.

Tremors, fresh from two convincing victories in their last two games, will face Marinor Blasters in the two-day fixture starting on Saturday, 29th August 2020 at the Botanic Gardens in Roseau.

The last time the two teams met, Tremors cruised to an easy eight wickets victory. This encounter is expected to be keenly contested since both teams boast of some accomplished players in their lineup. Tremors will depend heavily on batsmen Tyron Theophille and Jerlani Robinson both of whom have been in decent form lately. The Tremors bowling is expected to be led by Malakai Xavier and Martin Matthew.

On the other hand, Blasters will look to players such as Kyle Cabey and Gian Benjamin to contribute with the bat. All-rounder Shervon Dorsette is also expected to contribute with both bat and ball.

In the other semi-final encounter carded for the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth, Nagico Northern Stars will take on Nanthan Insurance Grand Bay Colts.

Former Windward Islands player, Kevin James, and national player Vincent Lewis are expected to spearhead the batting and bowling respectively for the Northern Stars. On the other hand, Alick Athanaze and Jahseon Alexander are expected to feature highly for the Colts.
