Connect 767 East Central FC, after suffering defeats in six of their previous seven games, secured an emphatic win on Sunday as the action continued in the 2021 Dominica Football Association (DFA) Premier Division League.
In a bottom-of-the-table clash at the Stock Farm Complex on Sunday, East Central FC notched up their second victory of the season with an emphatic win over the newcomer’s LA Starz FC of La Plaine.
Dylano Edwards was the man with the hot feet as he registered his first hat-trick of the season. National player, Reon Cuffy was also in action with a brace of his own. Nathan Newton joined in on the action as he added his name to the score sheet with one goal.
Reon Cuffy was adjudged as the player of the game.
On Saturday, defending champions Sagicor South East FC enjoyed a two-goal to nil victory over WE United FC at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth. Davon George and Alexander Matthew netted one goal each for the defending champions. Raleighson Pascal of WE United FC was named as the player of the game.
Also on Saturday, former champions Central Cooperative Credit Union LTD Dublanc FC came from one goal to nil to defeat Happi Bath Estate FC by four goals to one to maintain their lead at the top of the points standings. Felix Anselm scored twice and there was one goal each for Travist Joseph and Jervani Xavier.
Anderson Lawrence scored the lone goal for Bath Estate FC. Felix Anselm was named as the player of the game.
Meanwhile, in the Division One League St. Joseph FC hammered Busta Warner FC by six goals to nil to register their second victory of the season at the Almond Park in Dublanc on Saturday. Janaiah Charles was the player in form as he scored a beaver trick. Delvin Guiste and Aaron Nicholas scored one goal each.
The Division One matches scheduled for Sunday were postponed because of waterlogged conditions at Newtown and at Benjamin Park.
