Parillon’s late strike seals victory

LA Enterprises Bombers FC has continued their good late surge as the northern based club notched up yet another victory.

At the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth on Friday evening, Bombers edged out Promex Harlem United by three goals to two during the first encounter in the Dominica Football Association Premiere Division League following the international break.

The home club enjoyed a two goals to nil advantage at the interval after strikes from Tyriq Joseph in the 19th minute of play. The score was made two nil as Eddie Thomas converted in the 38th minute of play.

When it appeared that Bombers FC was cruising to a comfortable victory, the Harlem lads had other ideas as Jaheim Maxime pulled one back in the 64th minute of play. A mere seven minutes later, national player Audel Laville equalized the proceedings with a goal of his own.

When it appeared that both clubs would secure a point for their efforts, prolific goal scorer Jamie Parillon had other ideas as he sealed the deal with a 90th-minute strike much to the jubilation of the home supporters and to the agony of the Harlem players.

The action will continue this Saturday at two venues. At the Stock Farm Complex, Happy Bath Estate FC will do battle against former champions and league leaders Central Cooperative Credit Union LTD Dublanc FC. This encounter is expected to kick off at 4 pm. Over at the Benjamin Park, WE United FC will take on defending champions Sagicor South East FC from 4 pm.
