DFA to award secondary school scholarships

The Dominica Football Association (DFA), will this academic year, make it easier for the parents of a few students attending secondary school.

With the cost of attending secondary schools increasing yearly, the Executive Committee of the Dominica Football Association has taken the decision to award a total of six scholarships for the academic year 2021-2022. The scholarships will be based on need as well as on merit and will target a number of young boys and girls involved in the sport of football.

To be eligible for the scholarships, applicants must be a participant in any of the various youth level football programs organized under the auspices of the local football body.

Interested applicants should have attained decent grades at the 2021 Ministry of Education Grade Six National Assessment as well as those already in secondary school should have a satisfactory performance during their tenure at high school.

The scholarships will cover the cost of books and other related supplies, uniforms, tuition and will be valued at over EC$1500.

Interested applicants should send their relevant information to domfootball@wddom.dm and should reach no later than 31st August 2021.
