THE PROJECT and EXCHANGE VISIT IN A NUTSHELL
As part of a project implemented by ITACA and Fundación Providence with funds from Open Society Foundations, we are organizing a series of knowledge exchanges with organizations in Dominica, Trinidad, Tobago, and Barbados. Our project focuses on rebuilding a better Providence Island in the aftermath of Hurricane IOTA through community-based adaptation, disaster risk reduction plans, and alternative livelihoods. We are planning a trip to Dominica between the 24th and 30th of June and we came across the work in Dominica with seamoss farmers. We feel this experience would be of great value to people in Providence, as it could be replicated on the island.
