DOMLEC requires for employment an individual to fill the position of Public Relations Officer

Job Summary

To plan, create and deliver a public relations program for Dominica Electricity Services Limited that will establish and maintain goodwill and understanding between the Company and its various stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar role.
  • Experience in managing corporate social media accounts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of products and other social media management tools.

Required Experience

  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience as a Public Relations Officer
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency of traditional, digital, and social media channels such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing.

Special Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including press releases.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle crises with composure.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing
  • Strong organisation and project management skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
