SENIOR RESOURCE OFFICER

A leading supermarket chain is seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Human Resource Officer to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about human resources, possess strong organizational skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Job Statement: The Senior Human Resource Officer will report directly to the General Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and administering quality control systems for the Human Resource function.

Education/Training and Experience: This position requires a Certificate or equivalent in Human Resource Management or a related discipline, along with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop and Implement HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with the company’s goals and values. Manage the recruitment cycle, including job postings, screenings, and interviewing candidates.
  • Administer employee benefits and maintain accurate records. Coordinate and guide the employee performance management system. Support employee development and training initiatives.
  • Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures. Stay updated with relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain HR records and generate reports as required.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining a positive work culture and employee engagement.

COMPETENCES

  • Proven experience as an HR Officer or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of HR functions and best practices. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proficient In Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Management experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

The position is on a contractual basis, with renewal based on performance.
