
Police Officer Bernard Darroux, calypso name “Redz,” is the only newcomer to the 2026 Calypso Finals, set for February 14, 2026. Redz, who came in at number 15 at the Calypso quarterfinals with his rendition “River of tears,” was able to displace Mystrie and cop the number five spot at the semi-finals.
The judges gave the finalists the nod during the quarterfinals held at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium on Saturday, January 31st, where they battled for a spot in the finals.
The artists moving forward to compete for the crown are:

- Nachael-Commissioner M-Lissa
- Karessa-Deybah in de yard
- Jaydee-Choose to be good
- Daddy Chess-Roof leaking
- Tasha P-Play your role
- Redz-River of tears
- The Bobb-Fanm Debah
- Checker-Never before
In addition, three reserves have been announced: De Web, Kalfa P, and Observer, who will step in should any of the finalists be unable to perform.
The chosen nine will have the opportunity to dethrone reigning calypso monarch Joy Stoute at finals two weeks from now. Abiyah and Nachael are making it to the grand calypso final for the first time.
