Dominicans have mounted suspicion and speculation about the formation of a new political party in Dominica, the group is said to be putting plans in place in discussions that appear to be in private settings.
However, Nature Isle News (NIN) can confirm that the group had a well-attended meeting in the Kalinago Territory on Saturday, January 13, 2024, where they discussed among other things possible planning logistics.
Speaking to NIN, a well-placed source with information on the formation of this new group but declined to give an interview or be named said, “The people’s movement met in the Kalinago Territory and the attendance exceeded expectations.”
“It was a well-attended meeting and those present were open and candid in discussions about the way forward for the people’s movement,” the source stated.
Asked what will be the name of this new political party, the source refused to give that information but stated, “that the seed to deliver Dominica has been planted in the Kalinago Territory.”
“I can confirm to you that a steering committee has been put in place from the meeting in the Kalinago Territory and they (the Steering Committee) are charged with overseeing the growth of the people’s business or people’s movement”.
NIN also pressed the source about the persons behind the formation of the new political party but that too was not forthcoming.
“The public will know all of that soon…everything is being put in place to ensure that the people’s movement has a strong footing.”
We also posed questions as to whom are the persons making up the “steering committee” but that information was also not disclosed.
“Wait, wait, the cloud will roll away and revelations shall unfold.,” the source told NIN.
What is all this secret? A meeting was held and attendance exceeded expectation. Was it a public meeting or a private meeting, are we dealing with a ghost entity here or men an women who are afraid show themselves to the people they desire to serve?
