Nature Isle News (NIN) can confirm that Adrien “Archie” Mitchell of “First Serenade fame in Pointe Michel has passed. Archie was the long-time bassman for the band and after falling ill with kidney problems over twenty years ago devoted his time to studio production and the management of the band. He was 53 years old.
Manager of the band Carlton “Calty” Winston describes Archie “as a fantastic bass player and a prolific songwriter in the music genres of Bouyon and especially Cadance Lypso.”
“Archie was a founding member of the First Serenade Band. He succumbed after a long fight with renal failure. Good musicians never die they just fade away. R.I.P Archie,” Winston says.
NIN expresses deepest condolences to the members and fans of the First Serenade Band and to the Mitchell family and by extension the musical industry and the Pointe Michel Community.
