Less than a week after the gruesome murder in the community of Marigot, Nature Isle News (NIN) has learned of yet another murder in that community.
On November 3, 2021, the body of Sherwin Alcender was discovered in a garage with multiple stab wounds to his body in Marigot.
According to reports, the stabbing took place at “Four Roads” last evening November 5, 2021.
Dead is Damian Henry who is in his early 20’s and is alleged to have been stabbed by a male individual after a brief altercation. He was later pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
The police are said to be investigating the incident. This brings to three (3) the number of murders in Dominica within the past two weeks.
On October 29, 2021, businessman Norman Rolle was murdered by a 21-year-old who has since been charged. Rolle was 86 years old.
That generation, what type of parents and upbringing do they have? Well, knowing that slave plantation island mentality, women usually have children with no husband in their life and have to struggle raising the children.
The parents don’t always have to be blame. One can bring up a child in the best living environment and good upbringing to the best if their ability and that child chooses to go astray in their adult life, he or she will go. What we can do as parents this point is to keep on praying for our children that they remember the good values they were taught and never give up on them.
