Popular Radio activist Louvina Marvis Edwards-aka Blue-Blue of Bath Estate has become the 24th person arrested by the police for the March 19, 2025 unlawful assembly.
After receiving word from the police that she was to report to Police Headquarters, she surrendered with her lawyer on April 8, 2025.
She, like the others, has been arrested and charged under the “Riot Act.”
Blue-Blue appeared before Magistrate Pearl Williams, where the charge was read to her, and was not required to enter a plea since its an indictable offence to be heard by a judge and jury at the High Court.
She was granted bail for $25,000.00 with Albert Astaphan as her surety, with no reporting conditions.
Ronald Charles and Joshua Francis are the lawyers representing her. The matter was adjourned until August 21, 2025.
After exiting the court house, Blue-Blue, who was met with fellow protesters, broke down in tears, saying, “I am 71 years old and before this have never been arrested.”
She was consoled by those present, telling her “they are all in the struggle and fight with her.”
