BREAKING NEWS- King Charles appoints retired Chief Justice Dame Janice Pereira to Privy Council

The King has approved the following new appointments to His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

  • Baroness Eluned Morgan MS – First Minister of Wales
  • Dame Janice Pereira DBE – Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court
  • John Swinney MS – First Minister of Scotland.
  • Effective on 5th May 2024, Her Ladyship, the Honourable Dame Janice M. Pereira DBE, LL.D. retired as a Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal marking the culmination of an era of exceptional service. Described as “a trailblazing” it is said that throughout her illustrious career, she has broken barriers and shattered glass ceilings.

Her leadership has steered us towards comprehensive progress and development, ensuring accessible justice for all litigants.
