One man is presently in police custody assisting them in the shooting death of 46-year-old Alan Birmingham who resided in Castle Bruce.
Police reported that on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at about 7:15 am the lifeless body of Birmingham was found lying on the public road in Castle Bruce known as “The Stretch” with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his body.
His body was examined and pronounced dead on the scene by a medical doctor.
Since then, the police have launched a manhunt for the perpetrator and he was taken into custody during the week for questioning.
The police have confirmed that someone is in custody assisting them with their investigations but refuse to give any further details on the matter.
