The police are investigating a double fatal traffic accident that occurred on the E.O. Leblanc Highway under the Canefield Cliff that claimed the lives of two male individuals.
According to reports, two motorcycles involving three individuals were involved in the accident with one in critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH).
Police have confirmed the names of those dead as Jameson Defoe aged 30 of St. Joseph and Kervon Wade age 21 of Fond Cole.
The motorcycle riders were driving in the opposite direction at about 12:15 am on May 20, 2024, when the accident occurred.
According to a report from the police, Wade was traveling in a northerly direction when his bike collided with that of Flint Harry of Salisbury with pillion rider Jameson Defoe traveling in the opposite direction.
The police are also urging riders to “wear protective gear while riding and ride with due care and attention always.”
