The four men who were arrested over the weekend with an illegal firearm and ammunition have since been formally arrested and charged.
The men were taken before Magistrate Gloria Augustus where the charge was read to them. Sean Boston of Grand Fond pleaded to possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition while the three others pleaded not guilty.
As a result of Boston’s guilty plea, the prosecution withdrew the charges against the three who pleaded not guilty.
Boston was slapped with a $5,000.00 forthwith fine for the possession of an illegal firearm in default one year in jail. He was further charged $5,000.00 for the possession of illegal ammunition to be paid by March 31, 2024, in default one year in jail.
