Police are investigating the discovery of the body of a male individual found in the waters of Marigot.
According to reports, the body was in an “advanced discomposing state” when it was fished out of the water. It was officially pronounced dead by a medical doctor and was taken to a funeral home where a post-examination will be conducted.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing. The individual is set to be suffering a a medical condition Epilepsy.
Epilepsy is a common condition that affects the brain and causes frequent seizures. Seizures are bursts of electrical activity in the brain that temporarily affect how it works. They can cause a wide range of symptoms. Epilepsy can start at any age, but usually starts either in childhood or in people over 60.
