TROPICAL STORM WARNING DISCONTINUED FOR DOMINICA-WORK TO RESUME

Roseau, Dominica- June 23, 2023: The Government of Dominica has discontinued the
Tropical Storm Warning for Dominica.
Sustained tropical-storm-force winds are not expected across Dominica as the center of
Tropical Storm Bret moves away from the region. However, occasional gusty winds to
near tropical storm force are expected to persist through the morning, mainly over the
southern half of the island.
The Government of Dominica advises that:
➢ The normal workday resumes today, Friday, June 23, 2023.
➢ All schools will remain closed.
➢ CXC examinations scheduled for today, Friday, June 23, 2023, will proceed.
➢ A flood watch is in effect for Dominica.
The Government of Dominica advises residents to exercise caution while moving around
during the course of the day. The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the
weather conditions and issue regular updates.
