Two Outboard motor engines missing from Roseau Coast Guard Base

In what many describe as “who will guard the guards” the police say they are investigating the disappearance of two Yamaha Outboard motors that have disappeared from the Coast Guard Base in Fond Cole.

The Coast Guard base is not a place that is open to the public and on the compound are boats and engines seized by the police in various operations.

Speaking to Nature Isle News (NIN) a source with information on the matter describes it as “a mystery” for such an incident to happen.

“It happened and so far they have kept it under cover so the general public will have no information, but it cannot be right for such an incident to happen in the police force,” the source stated.

We can confirm from our various sources, that the disappearance of the outboard engines happened in the middle of last month (September) and the matter has been reported to the top brass of the Police Force but so far nothing has happened.

“All I am saying is that who is guarding the guards, how can exhibits in police custody just disappear and no one is held accountable, this is just unacceptable,” the source stated.

Efforts so far at getting comments from the police force on this matter have proven futile, however, NIN is following this story and will bring you details whenever it becomes available.
